Checking some facts. since 1986, Sherrard has gone into the playoffs 13 times, compared to Aledo's 16. I dont think its that far off. While there are no state titles, you were talking about tradition. I'll look up more #s for you.

Rockridge, from "86, 11 times. title, 2 runners up. Monmouth, from"76 to'96, 13 times, 1 title. Macomb from'86,12 times, 8 in a row. Orion from 89, 9 playoffs. Farmington from '87 to '97 six times Knoxville went 7 times in the '80s The bottom 2 aren't known for football.
OBTW, I recall Sherrard beating an Aledo team for their homecomming , not so long ago. Is that funnier than Rowva beating Sherrard.
I hope the regulars forgive me for that, but Someone else here simply does not know it all, as he thinks.

Again, five playoff wins for the Oly since Aledo left after 2001. Sherrard and Rockridge can't even make the playoffs, and you're talking about appearances. Here is apples to apples. Sherrard has as many state title appearances in football as Westmer--0. I mean come on, is it that hard to make the playoffs in this expanded 8 crap version of the playoffs and even win a few games. For the Oly it is. Coach, what happened to the Olympic. If it's so great with all the tradition and rich history, why are teams not beating down the door to get in? ? Oh that's right, they're leaving for the LTC, Big Rivers, Prairieland, etc. Let's face it, an overrated league is being put out of its misery.

The same overrated league that Aledo played in , in years past. It was a solid league when Aledo was losing in it, now they win in another league, full of Mayberries, and now its overrated? Again, forgive me.
You and Tom Harris have alot in common, No one wants you here, a quote from Jeff Dale.

union and yorkwood have more state title appearances than sherrard and they don't even exist anymore. actually, the old bi-county is a better league than the olympic and it hasn't existed for like 15 years. please answer the question, if the olympic is that great of a conference why is it being flushed down the toilet, and the remaining schools want to go where? Is it the LTC. Again, I haven't heard, what great programs are beating down the door to get into the Olympic?? The answer is none??? The league is dead and will anyone really notice.

i'm a bit confused as to why all the angst and hate towards the olympic.
the bi-county was a solid football con, even though it was located in henderson, mercer, warren, mcdonough and hanthingy counties which would make it more than "bi".

I answered your comment about tradition. I don't know why the Olympic is failing. maybe everyone wants to play POP Warner football. You didn't answer the one about the game that was more funny, Sherrard v. Rowva or Aledo v. Sherrard or even Knoxville v. Aledo. I am done.

are you a complete idiot....pop warner football. cambridge--state title appearance, united--state title appearance, wethersfield--state title appearance, stark county--two state title appearances. aledo--five state title appearances. that's half the LTC. farmington-0, macomb-0, sherrard-0, knoxville-0.
And I hope you're not saying Sherrard is anywhere close to the program Aledo is.....because if you are, you're really stupid.
Also, let's remember why Aledo left the Oly in the first place......do you remember this, your buddies at Sherrard and Rockridge said no to co-ops. How well did that work out for them???
The Oly is failing because it's a crap league.

Another reason the Oly suffered because Aledo left was simply that. The competition didn't have to work as hard to get into the playoffs. Their was a distinct rivalry with Aledo v. RR, Aledo v. Sherrard, Aledo v. Macomb. Maybe even throw Orion in there. All those teams loved playing Aledo and they played their hardest because if they didn't they knew they would get stomped, exception RR when they had some decent teams.
So yes, the Oly did suffer dramatically when Aledo left.

The bottom two that you listed, most if not all of their playoff wins came as members of the Prairieland Conference, which they were in until 1992.

well F-ton has 3 playoff wins total, 2 coming in one playoff "run".
since '92 the bean farmers have made the playoffs 5 times-1 win KKKville-7 before Oly 3 after coming to the oly
in reality both stink, which speaks volumes about the '04 playoffs
