this has been a great debate. but to sum it up, the olympic is dieing, it's crap and the conference is being put out of its misery, and is now going to run to the LTC to save itself. now that's irony.

are you a complete idiot....pop warner football. cambridge--state title appearance, united--state title appearance, wethersfield--state title appearance, stark county--two state title appearances. aledo--five state title appearances. that's half the LTC. farmington-0, macomb-0, sherrard-0, knoxville-0. Gotta remember too that the LTC schools are playing 1A or 2A playoffs. The Oly schools will play 3A and sometimes 4A. There is a little bit of a difference between 1/2A and 3/4A football. And nobody is saying the Sherrard football is anywhere near the caliber of Aledo football. It is a league that is just falling apart.

I thought I was through but, You are exactly right. Could any of the Lincoln Trail teams beat a Spring Valley Hall, Stearling Newman, Kewanee and forth in the time frame given? Cambridge could beat who? United could beat who? Weathersfield could beat who? That was the best part of the OLY, there were multiple class sizes, that could compete. Not all the same competition as far as class, but could compete.

Per Wrmj-It's official. The five remaining Olympic Conference schools have applied for membership to the Lincoln Trail Conference, according to Aledo High School principal Kathy Albert. This includes Macomb, Monmouth-Roseville, Sherrard, Rockridge, and Orion. Mendon Unity is also applying for LTC membership, which would give the league 16 teams for football. LTC principals will meet next week to consider the expansion. Last month, the conference added West Prairie for all sports and the River Valley co-op just for football.

Ya but, word is LTC doesn't want any part of it. They are worried about getting over run by the "big boys"
